The largest native sand sculpting contest in the United States, Texas Sandfest is one of Texas’s most popular and sought-after family events located in our beautiful home of Port Aransas.

Started in 1997 as a small local competition, this event has grown to attract visitors from around the world and boasts some of the most renowned sand sculptures around.

After a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic, the 25-year-old tradition returned to Port Aransas this year and was a smashing success. Boasting three days of activities and over 30,000 guests, this weekend of celebration and artistic showcasing had a little something for everyone. Food trucks, live music, shopping, and of course, the world-famous sand sculptures were just a few of the activities guests of all ages enjoyed during this sandy event.
